The 3rd of December 2020 is International day of people with a disability. Each year the UN announces a theme for the day. This year the theme is “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World”. Its aim is to emphasize  the importance of disability-inclusive responses taken by governments and the private sector to COVID-19 through the removal of physical, technological and attitudinal barriers for people with disability.

This year the worlds first PurpleLightUp 24 hour global broadcast will kick off at 9am AEST in Australia. PurpleLightUp is a global movement that brings together CEO's, employers, employee resource groups, allies and champions through webinars, interviews, panel discussions and more to draw attention to the economic contribution of an estimated 386 million disabled employees around the world. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with each other, and some of the speakers, via messages, polls and Q+As

It is free for all to attend the event but registration is required. You can register here.
