Accuro Homecare has partnered with Essential Skills to provide our Direct Support Workers with the opportunity to further develop their skills in the industry to improve the standard of support provided to our clients.

These training opportunities are divided into 12 workshops over the next 12 months. Most will be delivered by a registered nurse and include competencies in the topics covered.

The workshops include:

  • Enteral feeding: P.E.G 
  • Bowel care 
  • Epilepsy and seizure emergencies with Midazolam observation
  • Mobility aids/manual handling
  • Changed behaviour
  • Clinical Skills
  • Neuro-degenerative conditions
  • Customer care
  • Personal Care
  • Catheter care

Essential Skills, who specialise in providing training and assessment in aged, disability and community services, have tailored these workshops specifically for Accuro Homecare's needs.

Accuro Homecare will provide this training to its Direct Support Workers at no cost as part of our commitment to increase the skill set of our workforce.
